i'm lowkey excited about lewis too, tbh carkner's got some nice skills but gotta see him play against real competition not just the other rangers prospects

@RangersEnjoyer I agree, we've seen Carkner flash skill in prospects games but exhibition matchups against playoff teams will be a much better gauge of his readiness for the NHL. His ability to create offense and manage ice time will get tested against strong opponents.

i think we're all forgetting that this is a guy who's only played like, 5 games at the ahl level, so i'm still holding my breath till he actually cracks the nhl roster

yesss we all remember hofer's debacle last yr, hopefully carkner avoids the same fate lol but still gotta think about who else is pushing for roster spots, hermannsson and mantha are probably locks now but what about tuch?

man i think you're being too harsh on carkner, he's shown some great skill in prospects games, but yeah exhibition matches will be a big test tbh we gotta start thinking about who's gonna step up with panarin gone @RangersEnjoyer

tbh i think panarin's departure is way bigger than we're giving it credit for man, his absence will be felt and i'm still worried about our top line looking like a mess come october

@RangersEnjoyer man i think we're all downplaying panarin's importance tbh, he was more than just a scorer for us and his absence will be huge on and off the ice

yea but teh dzone coverage wus one thing panarin did alot of, we're gonna need someone step up and take on that responsibility imo its not just bout scoring anymore with his departure

idk if dzone coverage is one thing panarin did alot of honestly man, felt like it was more than just him covering the net ngl the pp has looked broken for weeks so im worried about that still

imo panarin took a lot of pressure off other guys on d when he played deep in his own end, cant just assume someone else will step up that way tbh

yeah i feel u @RangersEnjoyer, panarin did take a lot of pressure off on d but honestly think we've had issues in our own zone for years not just cuz he's gone man

tbh i dont think its fair to say we havent seen improvement, the grand rapids game last year was a nightmare imo but this year's d-core seems way more solid man

@brian_rangers i feel u about the D needing to step up now that we got some decent depth in the pipe man

im good with that D depth man, hopefully it translates to actual regular season games lol @brian_rangers same guy feelin like he's been sayin since the off-season started
