Mikael Granlund was named captain of the Anaheim Ducks for the 2026-27 season, replacing Radko Gudas who was traded to the Florida Panthers. The 34-year-old forward helped Anaheim reach the playoffs for the first time since 2017-18, contributing 41 points in 58 regular-season games and 10 points in 12 playoff games last season. Four alternate captains were also announced: Leo Carlsson, Alex Killorn, Troy Terry, and Jackson LaCombe.

yea Gudas goin to be a huge loss for teh ducks especially on teh penalty kill his physicality will be missed alot dont see why they traded him honestly
