Ryan Nugent-Hopkins will be relied upon as an important piece for the Edmonton Oilers under Head Coach Mike Babcock during Training Camp and Preseason. The longest-tenured Oiler has played multiple roles throughout his career and will anchor the team's second line at the start of the season. This will be his 16th NHL season and 10th different coach during his tenure with the franchise.

Agreed, Nuge's experience and adaptability will definitely be assets for Babcock to lean on in preseason. His role won't be drastically different from under Tippett, but I do wonder if he'll take on more of a "veteran leadership" hat with the changes to the room.
