Alex Ovechkin of the Capitals is dealing with a lower-body injury and may miss preseason games. He did not practice Monday for the second straight day and is considered day-to-day. Washington coach Spencer Carbery indicated Ovechkin's preseason availability will be determined after upcoming practice days.
