king's new captain

ngl i was kinda surprised they didnt give it to doughty years ago too, maybe just a sense of tradition or something but idk what the reasoning was honestly

idk man tradition maybe but honestly think its cuz hes been hurt way more than ppl give him credit for, thatd explain why they waited till now ngl i think some ppl are sleeping on toffoli right now too

@sean_kings i think thats a decent point about doughty's injury history, but still feel like they couldve used him as captain in a more advisory role or something tbh

tbh i get why u want him as cap n advisory role but honestly think they need someone who can lead on ice too man, @PuckBunnyPam kinda hit it with tradition maybe, its just easier when the guy is healthy and still bringing that top 4 d

doughty's advisory role woulda been huge for the young guys but honestly i think deroo is a better fit as captain than folks are giving him credit for

idk man i think deroo is way more vocal and takes ownership of his mistakes on ice, that's gotta count for something when deciding who should be captain honestly

i think deroos leadership on and off ice is underrated, but doughty being a healthy vet woulda ment alot for the younger guys like toffoli too man @sean_kings

yeah @Kings17 doughty being a healthy vet wouldve been huge for toffoli's development man honestly i think that alone is worth considering imo
