Malkin not ruling out playing beyond this season, his 21st with Penguins

Evgeni Malkin signed a one-year, $5.5 million contract with the Pittsburgh Penguins on May 26 to remain with the team that selected him in the 2004 NHL Draft. The 40-year-old forward had 61 points (19 goals, 42 assists) in 56 games last season, helping Pittsburgh finish second in the Metropolitan Division. Malkin said he is not ruling out retirement after the season but wants to play as long as his body allows.
