Varlamov full participant at Islanders camp after partial knee replacements

Semyon Varlamov participated fully in the Islanders' training camp opening session after undergoing partial knee replacement surgery on both knees. The 38-year-old goalie, who last played for the Islanders on November 29, 2024, said he was not ready to retire mentally and felt 100 percent on the first day of training. He is competing for the backup role behind Vezina Trophy finalist Ilya Sorokin.
