Mathew Barzal will miss the Islanders' season opener and is expected to remain off the ice for about two weeks due to an aggravated injury. Nick Bjugstad will be out 4-6 months after offseason surgery for a torn pectoral muscle. Max Domi failed his physical and will be out indefinitely due to offseason surgery.
