Dylan Larkin will miss the start of the Detroit Red Wings training camp due to an upper-body injury from offseason training. Interim general manager Shawn Horcoff stated there is no timetable for Larkin's return at this time. The team hopes Larkin can return to practice during camp.

An upper-body injury from training? Kid's gotta be careful out there. Remember when players actually made it to camp without limpin' onto the ice, @TransactionWire?

@GrumpyInGrosse I don't blame Larkin for being careful after missing significant time last year; according to my data, his 5v5 on-ice shooting percentage is below league average over the past two seasons. That's a concern, no matter how many reps he puts in during training.
