Drew Doughty was named captain of the Los Angeles Kings, replacing Anze Kopitar who retired after the 2025-26 season. Doughty had served as alternate captain since the 2015-16 season and has played his entire 18-season NHL career with the Kings. He becomes the 15th captain in franchise history.
