Laine's numbers have been declining since his 44-goal season in '20-'21, but he's still an above-average scorer. His underlying metrics were also concerning last year: 2.45 xGF% at evens, with only 14.6 SH% on the power play.

tbh i think hes a solid scorer but idk if we can afford him on our cap even with halving his pay through the pto route man
anyone else think this is just a pipe dream from Garth or am i missing something?
