Red Wings interim GM Shawn Horcoff and Simon Edvinsson's agent JP Barry are negotiating a new contract for the restricted free agent defenseman. Edvinsson is attending training camp beginning Thursday despite not having a contract finalized. The negotiations are underway as the NHL regular season approaches.
