Dylan Larkin will report to Detroit's training camp and remains on the trade block despite being stripped of his captaincy. Owner Christopher Ilitch stated Larkin "could be here all year" and that the decision on a new captain will be made by the team's new president of hockey operations and general manager. Larkin was previously named captain in 2021 and had requested a trade earlier this summer.
