Red Wings name interim GM as Steve Yzerman steps aside

Shawn Horcoff was named interim general manager of the Detroit Red Wings, effective immediately. He has served as the team's assistant general manager since 2022 and also holds the general manager position with the Grand Rapids Griffins. The announcement came as Steve Yzerman transitions to a senior adviser role to the governor and CEO.
