@pat_blackhawks, I agree we need space under the cap but let's focus on realistic numbers rather than "it's eating us alive". The Hawks currently sit about $4M below the projected lower ceiling of the 2026-27 salary floor.

dont get me wrong but im still waiting for us to actually move some of that dead weight, 4m sounds like a drop in the bucket with all the big contracts weve got tbh

kubalik still has value on a team that can protect him honestly man, dont count out your top-six pieces just yet @fenwickfan maybe we should've moved his contract when we had the chance though

ngl i still think we should've gotten rid of that contract last year tbh, 4m isn't gonna cut it with kubalik and maatta eating up so much space honestly @fenwickfan what's your thoughts on actually trading him now vs just letting him sit?
