One former Red Wings player found a new team, Dmytro Timashov signing with HK Nitra in the Slovak League. The majority of Detroit Red Wings UFAs from last season remained unsigned as NHL training camps opened. Timashov played five games for the Red Wings during the 2021-22 season.
