The NHL and Detroit Red Wings honored victims of the September 11th attacks during the 25th anniversary commemoration. The league made donations to four organizations connected to 9/11 and shared tributes through social media. Michigan had nearly 3,000 victims, including Todd Beamer and others with ties to the state.
