Stenberg gears up for Sharks debut in Rookie Faceoff

Forward Ivar Stenberg, selected No. 2 in the 2026 NHL Draft, participated in rookie practices with the San Jose Sharks ahead of the 2026 Rookie Faceoff tournament. Stenberg, who signed a three-year entry-level contract in July, is expected to begin the season in the NHL after playing last season with Frolunda in the Swedish Hockey League. The Sharks' American Hockey League coach will be behind the bench for the team's Rookie Faceoff games.
