The No. 1 pick in the 2026 NHL Draft expressed excitement about his upcoming NHL debut and the regular-season opener against Montreal on September 29. McKenna did not travel to the Prospect Challenge in Gatineau, Quebec, and remained in Toronto to train with the NHL group ahead of training camp.
