Dylan Larkin will attend training camp with the Detroit Red Wings after requesting a trade, though he has been stripped of the captaincy he held for six seasons. He asked for a trade after the team missed the playoffs for 10 consecutive years under former general manager Steve Yzerman, who resigned in mid-July. Larkin has five seasons remaining on his eight-year, $69.6 million contract and initially specified Florida, Minnesota, or Vegas as destinations.
