Red Wings’ future gets first test at prospects tournament
The Detroit Red Wings will host a prospects tournament at the Belfor Training Center from September 12-15, featuring teams from the Wings, Columbus Blue Jackets, Pittsburgh Penguins, and Dallas Stars. The tournament format includes each team playing three games, with the Wings facing Dallas Saturday at 6:30 p.m., Pittsburgh Sunday at 7 p.m., and Columbus Tuesday at 2 p.m. Thirteen of the 24 players on the Wings' roster are former draft picks, including first-round selections Nate Danielson and Carter Bear, along with second-round pick Trey Augustine.
