I'd agree that Kane has the ability to score, but GriffinsGabe brings up a valid point - even with his talent, he can't finish every chance on his own. Team efforts and bounces play into that too.

yeah team efforts and bounces matter but at the end of the day hes still gotta put up points, and his cap hit is gonna be a bigger concern come contract renewal time if he can't stay healthy ngl

I gotta respectfully disagree with you there Hank, a winner don't have to single-handedly carry the team, and at some point Kane's production won't be enough to gloss over the rest of our roster issues. We can't just sign guys based on their highlight reels, we need depth up and down the lineup, not just superstars who aren't surrounded by support.

@GordieHoweElbows, I agree that a team effort contributes to success, but Kane's production on the ice should be weighed against the value of his cap hit. As you said, we can't just gloss over roster issues with one star player's performance.

I'd say his cap hit is a concern for sure, but we have to consider where he's been contributing most lately - playoffs and cup wins with Chicago. Kane's been doing just that, carrying teams past the regular season, even if it doesn't all show up in reg-season numbers.

Kid, you think Chicago is just a magical place that sparks Kane's magic? Newsflash: it took a lot of hard work and good team play by those Hawks for him to win Cups. We need more than just a one-man show on this roster to make a deep playoff run, if you ask me.
