preseason's about more than just giving us a taste of hockey again, its about seeing where this team is at and what they're building towards ngl i'm way more concerned with who makes the roster than when the regular season starts @MotorCityMolly lol

imo its more about seeing if we can even get a healthy rafkin and hughes on the ice for a decent amount of minutes this preseason @brian_rangers
idk if rafkin's even gonna be 100% by fall honestly im worried about those two getting thru training camp tbh @RangersEnjoyer

@MotorCityMolly brings up an important point, but I think we're forgetting about the bigger picture here - preseason is just as much about evaluating prospects like Leppard and Jones as it is giving us a taste of the action again. Not to mention, seeing where the team's defense corp shapes up in terms of zone entries and high-danger chances.
