@danM88's skepticism about Ken Holland being considered is understandable, but Greenberg did seem like a dark horse candidate given his business ties to Steve Yzerman. Maybe now we'll see more serious candidates emerge?

Not surprised by this development, thought it was a long shot all along given his Tigers commitment and no obvious connections to Detroit's hockey org.
Hope they're not wasting more time with Yzerman leading the search; should've pulled the trigger on whoever their first choice was after losing out on Drouin.
