Petr Mrazek is sick and will not start against the Columbus Blue Jackets. Jimmy Howard will start in his place, with Jared Coreau recalled from the American Hockey League as backup. The Red Wings are one point behind Philadelphia for the second wild card spot in the Eastern Conference.
