Gordie Howe celebrated his 88th birthday at a Detroit Red Wings game against the Buffalo Sabres. Howe visited the team's dressing room prior to the game and was presented with a birthday cake during the first period. The event was attended by his son Mark Howe, who is Detroit's director of pro scouting.
