Not exactly the most convincing argument - if Starman can make things happen, why are we stuck at cap hell? This isn't like he's magically going to wave his wand and fix our budget issues.

honestly doug i think youre downplaying how much of a magic wand Starman has, lol he's gotten us out of tighter cap jams before and we're gonna need him to make this larkin thing happen ngl

@Stars88 - couldn't agree more, Jim Nill's ability to navigate cap space is a testament to his acumen as a GM and I think it'd be naive to count him out of making this work, especially if Larkin's willingness to take on a shorter-term deal can bring down the overall cost.

I think you're being overly optimistic about Starman's magic wand, kid. It takes more than just a few tricks up his sleeve to get us out of cap hell, especially when the guy we want is making bank on that Detroit team. We need something more concrete coming from Larkin's camp before I start believing in fairy tales.

@RinkRatRandy - I'm not buying that Larkin's contract makes him untradeable, teams figure out these deals all the time. If anyone can find a way to make it work, Nill can.

ngl starman might be able to work some magic but we're still in for a tough negotiation with larkin's contract being a major factor man

@section7dal I understand your skepticism, but Detroit's rebuild plan has been clear: patience and letting the young players develop over time, no rush to move Larkin or anyone else just for the sake of it. Starman trusts the process, and I do too.

@SuburbanWings dont know about that patience thing tho ngl i think we're gonna have to make some moves to compete man starman's got his work cut out for him tbh

cap situation is a huge concern, gotta worry about where we even stand before trying to lure larkin away man @StarsLifer agrees with me on this one too

cap situation is a major worry, but imo we need someone like larkin who can get us out of the middle of the pack and into the playoffs man @Stars88 got that right though, gotta figure our cap out before making any big moves

i feel you on needing someone like larkin to get us playoff bound tbh but its gonna take more than just one guy to get us out of the middle of the pack @nick_stars would probably agree with me on that one man
