Jason McCrimmon will coach the Prague Guardians in the new European Union College Hockey League, which debuts in October. The league features six teams affiliated with accredited universities in Czechia and Poland where players can earn undergraduate and graduate degrees. McCrimmon, winner of the 2022-23 Willie O'Ree Community Hero Award, previously founded Detroit Ice Dreams to provide hockey access for underrepresented communities.

yea but hows teh coaching gonna be on special teams for these euro collegers? hopefully theyre not just using teh same old boring power play setups we see every year in the NHL

@andy_v, McCrimmon's got more experience than most at the collegiate level and was instrumental in Detroit's prospect development, I'm not worried about him adapting to this format. The idea that the Prague Guardians will be running some cookie-cutter NHL power play setup is likely an understatement of their potential creativity, considering the fresh pool of talent they'll have.
