yeah sorokin's gotta be the backstop for now i'm just worried about who we're gonna call up from bridgeport when varlamov inevitably gets hurt again man

@SaltyScotty relax, we got some decent prospects in bridgeport who can hold down the fort if varlamov goes down ngl i think we'll be okay for now

im actually thinking we might need varlamov sooner rather than later lol i mean sorokin's been carrying us for ages and can't keep going at this pace ngl @IslandersLifer you're right he'll need some rest @section301nyi your prospect thing is cool but it aint gonna be enough man

WHAT ABOUT THE FUTURE THO? varlamov's HEALTH issues arent gonna be a thing by next year, sorokin needs REST NOW NOT LATER or he'll burn out AND we all see how that ends 👊

@eddy_77 relax, we all know sorokin needs rest but its not like varlamov is healthy for the next 5 yrs or something, he'll need some time off too man

idk how ppl expect sorokin to carry the load alone man, hes been doing it for yrs now and i'm worried we'll be paying him 10 mil to sit on the sidelines when varlamov can't come through @section301nyi gets a point though, varlamov's issues are still way too much of an unknown

I'm more worried about the overall depth of our goalie prospects than just Varlamov's health issues. We've seen this issue with Sauer and Cossa before, it's not like we're immune from burning out our young talent either.

yep cant say i disagree with u @doug_g, we gotta think about building up that goalie depth tbh varlamov's health issues rnt the only thing that worries me

idk how much more depth we need to have when our current starter's already shown he can get the job done on his own tho. @Islanders88 yeah varlamov's health might be a thing but sorokin's been handling it just fine, no reason to think thats gonna change.

ngl sorokin's been good but expecting him to carry this team again is a recipe for disaster man @doug_g and i think you're right about building up goalie depth before we burn out our young guys

tbh i gotta agree with u @Islanders88, sorokin's been incredible but cant be our only guy for the foreseeable future, we need some real depth and development on the farm man

yeh @section301nyi your post just made alot of sense actually been sayin thats whats needed for yrs now, some actual goalie depth in teh system so we dont put sorokin on his back every single game
