Red Wings prospect honored as captain of UMD

Max Plante, the 2024 second round pick and Hobey Baker Award winner, has been named captain of the University of Minnesota Duluth's NCAA hockey team. Plante recorded 25 goals and 52 points during the previous season with the Bulldogs. His brother Victor has joined UMD from the U.S. National Development Program, making the trio of siblings competitors for the Division I NCAA Hockey Championship.
