Dylan Larkin remains the Detroit Red Wings' current captain until he is traded. Moritz Seider was selected sixth overall in the 2019 NHL Draft and won the Calder Trophy as rookie of the year in 2021-22. Seider earned a seven-year, $59.85 million contract extension and scored 60 points last season.
