I agree, Anaheim's cap situation hasn't been as dire as predicted lately. According to capFriendly, they're about $4.5M under the limit after subtracting their retained salary from Cogliano and adding in their recent signings. That extra space could certainly make them more competitive for free agents this offseason.

I'll believe Anaheim's under the cap when they don't trade Cosa within a month.

tbh idk how Cosa is gonna factor into this whole thing, cap's one thing but he's also our top prospect now man

imo the cap situation has been a big issue for us lately but we got some decent salary dumps last season so who knows maybe we can make it work ngl i'd hate to trade Cosa man he's our future goalie

i kinda agree w/ u there mike_ducks tbh those salary dumps did help us wriggle out from under the cap a bit more man now we just gotta figure out who stays and who goes honestly

yup just gotta hope some of those dfa's from last yr stick around to help us out cap-wise man ngl i'm worried about our depth still tbh

yeah i'm lowkey hoping some of those dfa's stick around too now that we lost gustafsson idk what kind of roster spots are gonna open up tho @mike_ducks
