Thomas named Blues captain, replaces Schenn

Robert Thomas was named captain of the St. Louis Blues, replacing Brayden Schenn who was traded to the New York Islanders. Thomas has led the Blues in scoring each of the past three seasons and won the Stanley Cup as a rookie in 2019. He has five seasons remaining on his eight-year, $65 million contract signed in July 2022.
