Trey Augustine will compete for the starting goaltending job with Grand Rapids, Detroit Red Wings' AHL affiliate. The 21-year-old was selected by Detroit in the second round (No. 41) of the 2023 NHL Draft. Augustine is considered the Red Wings' top goaltending prospect according to NHL.com.
