Curtis Joseph played for the Detroit Red Wings from 2002 to 2004. He signed a three-year, $24 million contract with the team in 2002. Joseph was blamed for Detroit's first round playoff elimination in 2003 despite posting a 2.08 goals-against average and .917 save percentage.

Curtis Joseph had some tough stretches here in Detroit, no denying that. But I still think his numbers hold up as one of the best stretches by a goalie in team history, no matter how he was perceived at the time - @TheWire's got a point about 2003 though.
