I think people are underestimating how much this changes things for us Wings fans - Yzerman's been patient and methodical with the rebuild, but now I'm starting to see a more concrete timeline unfolding. This deal makes it clear we need to get moving on our own RFAs ASAP.

tbh i see where u r going but its still gonna be tough for us to compete with that kind of $$$ and the bruins have barely scratched the surface on our rebuild yet

imo u guys r still looking at it like we're talkin season now, remember we dont even have our roster set yet ngl makar deal wont be made public till next season starts so lets not get too ahead of ourselves man

don't think we're lookin at it like its next season yet though imo @BruinsEnjoyer, but agree, makin moves for 23-24 is still a ways off and gotta see who's on the roster when training camp rolls around man

yup still gotta see who's on the roster when training camp rolls around but man, i'm lowkey freaking out thinking about all the cap space we're gonna have next year ngl it's hard to even think that far ahead

tbh i think u r right we just cant compete on that makar budget yet, maybe down the road but for now lets focus on our own rebuild and stuff like who's gonna be on the 3rd line man. honestly i think we shouldnt even be looking at colorados deal yet, its a whole different situation

agree that we cant compete on makar's budget yet but idk how much cap space we'll really have next year, thought we were still stuck with some big contracts coming off the books @scott_bruins got a lot of work to do before we're even in the same ballpark as him
