yeah cap-friendly is one thing but it still costs a lot for montreal to keep rfa's in house, especially on paper contracts idk how det would come up with something comparable @becca_w

yeah i think det would be willing to pay him to stay if it means keepin their cup window open @kwilson got a point about montreal's cap situation tho that does make things tricky

@jake_canadiens yeah but would carlo even wanna stay in det after losing the cup imo he might look elsewhere for a shot at another ring

ngl @Canadiens9 is right carlo's probably lookin for a ring winner and det just lost so who knows if they wanna hold onto him @jake_canadiens got a point about keepin their cup window open but i doubt it holds weight in this case

idk if det wants him back enough to match what we're offering man they just lost hellebuyck and now carlo too? that's a tough pill to swallow imo
