I think that's a fair point @GrumpyInGrosse, but then again, I recall the Blue Jackets bringing in Mika Zibanejad on a big contract a few years ago and everyone said they wouldn't do it. Reminds me of the old adage "you can't judge the book by its cover" - sometimes teams will surprise you.
