okay so i'm hearing we're one of the teams chasing a 2.5 mil guy, supposedly a star imo its about time we started splurging after all these years of trying to be cute with cap space

I think we're getting a bit ahead of ourselves here. This team's history isn't exactly littered with savvy cap management, but I do think it's high time for them to spend some money. Reminds me of the '97 club - patience was rewarded then and it will be again.

@andy_v: agree w/ u grumpy that we need to spend more, but lets get teh powerplay fixed 1st, cant just chase stars and expect 2nd or third line scoring to magically appear
