Former Red Wings defenseman Luke Witkowski has joined Kometa Brno in the Czech Extraliga for the 2026-27 season. He scored in two preseason games as Kometa Brno won the Dolomiten Cup. The KHL Shanghai Dragons signed former Red Wings forward Martin Frk, who is now injured and expected to be out for one or two months.
