Per MLive.com, there's some chatter about Detroit considering a non-hockey executive for a high-ranking role in the organization. I'm not sure what to make of this - on one hand, it could bring a fresh perspective, but on the other, it might be a case of trying to solve the wrong problem (emphasis on "trying").
