I'm not surprised by Hellebuyck's request, he's due for an upgrade and Detroit isn't going to be competitive anytime soon. I'd rather see them package some of our prospects for a veteran D-man than pursue another goalie.

Teams like the Buffalo Sabres, Carolina Hurricanes, and San Jose Sharks are considered potential landing spots for Hellebuyck. The Jets have not received compelling offers for him and face challenges in any potential deal due to their high asking price.
