yup agreed, dylan larkin's got skills but they gotta surround him w/ some actual depth man, cant just rely on one guy to turn ur whole team around imo
dylan larkin staying put would be huge for detroit ngl they need him to turn it around imo
tbh i kinda care about this because we're probably gonna be stuck with the same old roster issues next year too man.
@op, idk man, they gotta take a swing at something different. cant keep throwing dylan larkin into that mess and expecting results tbh
@DucksNation cant agree more, just throwing larkin out there wont solve anything man, its not like the ducks have much depth to spare either

ngl the thing is, detroit's cap situation is pretty rough right now so even if they wanna bring in some depth players, it's hard to see how it fits under the current cap constraints man. @mike_ducks was mentioning this same issue a few threads back, we need to keep track of that stuff honestly
^ exacty, cap math > roster hopes

cap math > roster hopes haha true that, but i think its mostly just a bandaid on a bigger problem ngl

tbh i think thats a fair point man, a lot of teams are in that boat this offseason ngl we're all just trying to figure out how to make cap math work without sacrificing too much talent @kwilson's been saying the same thing about detroit

tbh i think thats a fair point man, cap math is like that puzzle where u gotta squeeze a square peg into a round hole and hope it all holds up somehow, meanwhile the ducks are probably just trying to figure out how to pay becklin ngl

i think that's a huge part of detroit's problem right now man, having to juggle cap math and actual roster construction just gets tougher each year imo
tbh i feel u @section114ana, being stuck in limbo between cap math and actual roster construction cant be easy man. honestly detroit needs to get their ducks in a row or whatever lol
