The team is operating with only five defensemen following injuries to Magnus Nygren and Axel Bergkvist, Måns Gudmundsson's national team assignment, and the contract termination of Cal Foote. Johansson joined Noel Fransen and Tom Bjurman in filling out Farjestad's defensive corps for practice sessions.
