The Minnesota Wild are not trading defenseman Quinn Hughes to the New Jersey Devils, according to league sources. Wild management remains in discussions with Hughes' agent regarding a contract extension before the regular season begins. Hughes is in the final year of his six-year, $7.85 million cap hit contract and could become an unrestricted free agent next July.
