JP Hurlbert is an 18-year-old winger who will begin his college career at the University of Michigan. He was drafted by the Red Wings as Steve Yzerman's final first-round selection before leaving Detroit. Hurlbert scored 97 points in 68 WHL games last season, tying for fourth most in the league while leading all rookies.
