The Detroit Red Wings acquired forward Sutter Muzzatti from the Nashville Predators in exchange for future considerations. The Red Wings signed Muzzatti to a two-year, entry-level contract. Muzzatti was selected 143rd overall by Nashville in the fifth round of the draft.
