Leon Draisaitl said he believes new Oilers coach Mike Babcock will hold players accountable regardless of their status. The Oilers finished second in the Pacific Division last season but were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs. Draisaitl noted the team's inability to find consistency throughout the previous 82-game season.
