The Detroit Red Wings acquired forward Sutter Muzzatti from the Nashville Predators in exchange for future considerations. Muzzatti, a 23-year-old native of Okemos, signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Red Wings after playing college hockey at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and Notre Dame. He recorded 32 points in 37 games during his final collegiate season with Notre Dame.
