The Detroit Red Wings acquired forward Sutter Muzzatti from the Nashville Predators in exchange for future considerations. Muzzatti, a native of Okemos, Michigan, signed a two-year entry-level contract with the Red Wings. He previously played college hockey at the University of Notre Dame and had previously competed in the North American Hockey League and United States Hockey League.
